Ida III Ahnentafel

What we love about Ida:

Ida is the sweetest, funniest girl! We love her vibrant personality. I'll post a video of her hanging out in the kitchen and around the house with me because she's such a joyful thing, and she constantly makes me smile.
Ida is a wide-ranging, hard-driving searching dog who points beautifully. Last year in Iowa she was on point for almost ten minutes across the fence on property where we didn't have permission, and the look on her face when we had to call her off the point was so eloquent.
Ida has a ton of prey drive in general. She is always on the go and searching industriously in any environment.
Not that scores are the most important thing, but Ida did receive a Prize I perfect score (all 4s) at her VGP, which we think is indicative of her well-roundedness and drive.

What we love about Casper

Casper is owned by our friend, Tom Hinderer, who lives in the suburbs of Chicago. Tom and Casper hunt in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and much of the Midwest. Casper was selected from the five males in his litter because Mike was so impressed by his mother's, Giena Dewolf, character and behavior when she had small puppies. His father is Buck III vom Jagdkönig, a dog Mike trained and ran. We know Casper well since he visited often to train and test throughout his life. He is still a young dog, but Tom is pleased with how he is developing as a hunting and companion dog with a good off switch and a lot of drive in the field and water. He is friendly toward people and other dogs while maintaining high prey drive. Our W III, X III, and Y III litters are all out of Casper.
As a point of interest for genetic cleanliness, we love that Casper's hip x-rays are some of the cleanest and best we've ever seen. Additionally, he has very correct dentition- his incisors are in line, and his bite and canines were always correct from the time he was a puppy.

What we love about Flicka:

She's a super calm, super sweet girl. We would trust her with any person or dog, and she has a great off switch while still running and hunting hard.
She's a very natural pointing dog who went easily to the water and has plenty of game drive.
