Puppies whelped November 24, 2020
Bebe v.d. Jagdkönigin Ahnentafel

What we love about Bebe:

  • Bebe has an incredible combination of talent and temperament. She's the total package of talent, cooperation, and trainability.

  • She has phenomenal natural point and caution while still having a ton of tracking ability and prey drive. This was demonstrated at her VJP where she scored 77 points.

  • Bebe is a full time house dog and does so well with Elsie, our 2 year old daughter/granddaughter and our 4 month old son. She has a golden temperament-- we would trust her with any dog or person in any situation.

  • While she was an extremely talented dog, her talent is balanced with a lot of natural cooperation-- she always wants to hunt with us rather than for herself.

  • 77 VJP, 181 HZP o.sp., 11/10 Form and Hair, Free of all genetic disorders by DNA, HD-A

What we love about Quade II (Scooby):

  • He reflects what you would expect him to be based on his pedigree (ahnentafel), the features of which are explained below.

  • Scooby  has hunted a variety of upland game and waterfowl in Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

  • He has demonstrated point and caution on every species of upland birds that he was exposed to at an early age including pheasant, quail, grouse, and woodcock.  He was a real natural and at ease in the water at a young age.

  • The water is one of his preferred environments. He is a natural retriever who just got even more reliable while being trained to retrieve.

  • He is a medium sized, athletic male. He is an extremely stable, confident, and friendly male who lives in the house and has many dog friends in the neighborhood .

  • As Quade's trainer, Mike knows that he trained easily in a short period of time.

  •

  • VJP 68; HZP 172; F/H 11/11; Height 64, Length 65; HD-Frei A, OCD Free, and ED Free. Homozygous for furnishings (FF), which just means that all of his puppies will have a beard.

First off, this litter might look familiar because it's a repeat of our K III litter! We liked that litter so much that we decided to repeat it.

What we love about Flicka:

  • She's a super calm, super sweet girl. We would trust her with any person or dog, and she has a great off switch while still running and hunting hard.

  • She's a very natural pointing dog who went easily to the water and has plenty of game drive.

  • VJP 71; HZP 185; F/H 10/10; Height 59, Length 60; HD-Frei A, ED, OCD Free

What we love about Roxane:

  • Roxane is a great example of a versatile hunting dog. Most importantly, for those of you who are looking for a high quality easy to live with and easy to train puppy, she is a proven producer of high quality pups. She's a pleasure to hunt with and is great around people and other dogs. She has had four litters of pups, and everyone who owns the pups loves them.

  • Her puppies are very uniform and predictable. We're always pleased with  their talent, temperament, form, and hair.

What we love about Winston (Archer):

  • Since Archer was a young dog, we loved watching him and his first time trainer/handler, Brett, as they grew in their training and hunting experience. Like Bebe, Archer had awesome natural talent AND cooperation/trainability.

  • Brett and Archer hunt all through the Great Plains on upland and waterfowl, and he's a fabulous pointing and retrieving dog. He also knocked his VGP out of the park with a 306 PRZ I, which is impressive for a first time handler.

  • Archer also lives with a small child and regularly sees dogs of other breeds, and he exhibits excellent character with dogs and people.

  • VJP 69, HZP 166 o.sp., VGP 306 PRZ I, 10/7 Form and Hair, Free of all genetic disorders by DNA, HD-A

What we expect to see from this litter:

  • Super nice temperaments with great natural talent and trainability.

  • A lot of the characteristics on which this litter is line bred- sound character, calmness, talent matched with cooperation.

  • Very good conformation for many years of hunting

  • Medium hard to hard serviceable coats; all pups will have beards

Roxane II vom Jagdkönig x Jaeger vom Dilmunfast

What we love about Roxane:

  • Roxane is a great example of a high quality versatile hunting dog. Genetically clean for those who might want to breed. Most importantly, for those of you who are looking for an easy to live with and easy to train puppy, she is a proven producer of high quality hunting pups with plenty of drive. She's a pleasure to hunt with and is great around people and other dogs. • VJP 67; HZP 183; VGP Prz I 303 pts; F/H 11/11; Height 59, Length 60; HD-Frei A, OCD Free, ED Free

What we love about Jaeger:

  • We first met Jaeger at the 2019 Armbruster, where he earned 5th place with a 191 in his HZP, an 11 in form, and a 12, excellent, in coat. Jaeger is a very good hunting dog with great character and temperament. He's a well built male who has an outstanding coat. The versatile hunting (upland, waterfowl, blood tracking, and more) that his owner, Bobby, has done came naturally to Jaeger.

  • Every so often a son or grandson of a dog we know well comes along, and this is the case with Jaeger. He is out of Buck III vom Jagdkönig who is out of Nuschka II vom Jagdkonig and Rover II vom Jagdkönig,  both males I have trained through the VGP at HZP age.  Nuschka and her mother Comtesse  were two  VGP prize 1 females that were great hunting/family dogs for us. This is a litter  that should produce high quality birdabililty, naturally high quality water work, predictable friendly temperaments, talent, coat, and conformation.

  •  Jaeger is a calm, friendly male who has a very nice temperament (you'll see a picture of him trick or treating with his family in the photos).

  • VJP 69, HZP 191, F/H 11/12, Height and Length 63 cm x 63 cm. Jaeger is FF for furnishings.

What we love about Harras III (from his owner, David Andersen):

  • Here's some of what I can tell you about Harras.  He's got a lot of talent, and a really good mix of drive and cooperation.  He has been highly trainable, doesn't require much pressure for correction, and responds to positive reinforcement. He's also one of the best "bird finders" I've had (I'm on DD no. 6).  I've hunted him on ruffed grouse, woodcock, Huns, pheasants, bobwhites, scaled quail, sharp-tailed grouse, and prairie-chickens (I might be forgetting some, but I think that's most of them for Harras), and he's retrieved a few ducks and geese,
although I really don't hunt waterfowl much these days.  He put together the best duck search at the Armbruster of any dog I've trained. He's a strong retriever, and will pick up almost anything and retrieve it.  After what I thought was a relatively slow start (although he was only 12 months at his VJP), he's become a very solid pointer, and naturally backs.  In contrast, he was a very strong tracker from the very beginning, and early on, that was clearly his strength.

  • He's in the house with us when we are home (along with Volker), and has a lot of character.  He likes to be the center of attention, and his go-to when he wants you to pay attention to him is picking up whatever he can and parading around the house.  He's very efficient at picking up dish towels, and his record, I think, is 6 in his mouth at one time.  If it's possible for a DD to have a sense of humor, I would say that Harras has a good one, and thinks that he is pretty funny.

  • He's easy to get along with, and both my spouse and daughter like having him around.  He's even-keeled most of the time, but when he anticipates going for a walk or getting out of the truck to hunt, for example, he's
eager and ready to go full out.  I've had to work with him to get him to calm down in those circumstances so that I can put a collar on him, let him out the gate, let him out of his run, etc.  He hunts well with other dogs, although I generally hunt my two dogs one at a time, at least
early in the day, and then maybe hunt them together the last time out.

  • I mostly hunt upland birds (at least with my dogs) and I've hunted Harras in the Upper Midwest, southern Canada, the Dakotas, Nebraska and Kansas, and as a pretty young dog, in New Mexico for quail. He's my 6th
DD, the highest scoring HZP dog I've trained (188), and as you know, placed 5th at the Armbruster.  He's probably got the best combination of skill and cooperation of any DD I've trained. He's got as much talent as Volker, and is a bit more willing to cooperate.  He was relatively easy
to train, once I realized how he responded to pressure and positive reinforcement.

  • VJP 68; HZP 188; F/H 11/9; Height 66, Length 66; HD-Frei A, ED, OCD Free
